Dave is a rare breed. He is a Valais black nose ram born May 2016. He arrived to us in April 2017 and instantly fell in love with our female sheep KK and in December 2017 KK was pregnant. He is now a daddy to two beautiful lambs Archie and April.

Dave is a very loving ram with huge stunning curly horns and loves so much attention.

This is Dave being sheered. This breed has to be sheered twice a year due to the fast growth of their fleece. Dave is so brilliant when he is having his hair cut he actually falls asleep. Just look how he just sits there.

The breed originates from the Valais region of Switzerland. They were first mentioned around the year 1400 but they were not recognised as a breed until 1962. Valais Blacknose sheep should have black noses, ears, eye rims, knees and ankles. Both male and female should have spiral horns.

Valais Blacknose Sheep are well known for their wool, which is best used for felting and for carpets. They have placid natures and are easily tamed, combined with their striking appearance they make the perfect pet sheep
